Gail Steel

          I began as a toddler and grew up drawing and painting. As a young mother, I wisely traded my oil paints for water media and never looked back. There has always been a "studio" space somewhere in the house, and the compulsion to finish a painting drove me to stand barefoot in bed clothes long into the night or to arise early and pick up a brush before a cup of coffee.
